[Demon - drums]
[P]oint [O]f [V]iew
What got you into music?
Nothing really – I just liked it as long as I could remember hearing it.
What made you want to play in a band?
The rare talent I have [the drums] mainly. Most of the time, we just hang out and shoot pool, so it gives me a brief break from the hardships of real life.
Why did you pick the particular instrument you play?
Drums have fascinated me from the second I saw a drum ensemble band when I was five. I just kind of went from there.
Do you have to be in a certain state of mind to perform? If so, how do you get into this state of mind?
Hell yes. I have something I like to call 'the zone'. When I’m there, I just go; I don’t stop. I just play until I am physically exhausted.
From what point of view to you write your songs?
I don’t write songs; I’m just the drummer!
How would you classify your music?
Let’s see, we play metal, swing, goth, horror, and psycho billy (as didy calls it) all in the premises of punk.
As far as local bands go, do you consider yourselves successful? Why or why not?
Yes, we got off the ground. Most local bands never make it to the stage. We were fortune enough to do so twice.
"It's all about the music." Agree or disagree? Why?
Fully agree! Selling out is like breaking one of the ten commandments of local band as far as I’m concerned. We play to have a good time and make music everyone can agree on.
What is your opinion on music today?
Some of it is ok; the basic majority of it sucks major balls. All this Eminem, Nelly rap bullsh*t gives me the shudders, and, frankly, it makes me want to kill myself (not literally). All of them sold out. They can eat sh*t and die for all I care.
